Honey Sausage Roll Recipe

This recipe as taken from Enid Blyton book called Jolly Good Food.

This Ingredient level is to make 6 rolls so double amount according.


1 tblsp of cooked chopped red onion
1 tsp of easy garlic
½ tsp of honey
½ sheet of ready roll puff pastry
175g sausage meat
Egg/Milk mix for brushing


  1. Mix in a bowl the honey , red onion, garlic and sausage meat until combined.
  2. Cut the half puff sheet into 4 quarters. Place the sausage meat mix across each quarter then then using your finger make them into a log shape going from end to end of each quarter either.
  3. Brush one side with egg wash and then fold over the non-brushed the side as tight as possible tucking it in under and pat in it down so that it looks like a pillow.
  4. Then roll it onto the brushed side to seal the pastry. Cut a small amount off each end of the roll to trim the excess pastry and to seal the end.
  5. Brush the top with egg wash place on a either a greased baking try or baking sheet and place in the pre heated oven on 180 degrees for about 20 mins until pastry cooked and brown.
