Peach Cobbler Recipe


Tinned sliced Peaches
60g Golden Caster Sugar
75g Plain flour
1/2 Tsp Ground Ginger
1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
1/4 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
75g Butter Chilled and cubed
1/2 Whisked Egg


  1. Heat oven to 180c
  2. Grease a Baking Dish
  3. Drain the peaches and then lay them on the bottom of the dish, Sprinkle a little sugar and ground ginger over them and set aside.
  4. Tip the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon into a bowl and stir until combined
  5. Add the butter cubes and rub then rub the ingredients until it resembles bread crumbs.
  6. Tip in the egg mix and then squeeze until it forms a dough.
  7. break off the dough into pieces and place on top of the peaches creating a good covering but leaving gaps for it to spread.
  8. Sprinkle the with a little sugar and bake in the oven until golden brown approx 23-30 mins depending on size of dish
